Tires and wipers

You want to get your winter tires on before the first snowfall, and better yet before the weather drops below 7 degrees. That’s the point where your all-season tire loses its effectiveness. Also, if you want to have the best possible visibility in winter, think about winter wipers.

Maintenance

Always have a checkup before winter rolls around. You want your battery to be in good shape, as well as the rest of your mechanical components.

Emergency kit

Everyone should have an emergency kit in their vehicle. The emergency kit should include water, a first-aid kit, warm clothing, a flare, a whistle, some dry food, a shovel, salt, booster cables and traction aids.
