As you enter Nissan’s booth at the MIAS, remember to check out the Qashqai (pronounced cash-kai), as before you know it, they will be all over our streets. This small urban crossover has been a runaway hit in Europe for the Japanese maker since it was launched in 2006.
Interestingly, the US will know this vehicle as the Rogue Sport but both will use a 141-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. Transmission options reside between a 6-speed manual and an Xtronic CVT automatic. AWD will also be an option supplementing standard front-wheel drive.
In order to please both the young and the old, the Qashqai will be available with all the latest connectivity kit, navigation, heated leather seats and steering wheel. Pricing has not yet been released however we can expect the vehicle to arrive in early summer.
