Toyota’s been on the hybrid vehicle front lines for more that 20 years and now, they’re hoping to get your attention with their COMS, the ultra-compact downtown-destined 1-seater EV.
This vehicle is destined for short city stints, as its range is limited to 50 km while top speed is capped at 60 km/h. The COMS is currently on sale in Japan for 1 million yen or roughly $11,500. There currently are no concrete plans to sell it in Canada.
Also in the Toyota booth at the MIAS is the 2018 C-HR, the Japanese giant’s latest entry in the subcompact CUV segment. Its unique styling will capture attention as will its well thought out cabin while the 144-horsepower 4-cylinder should make driving fun.
