Make sure you get the most out of your test drive

When buying a new vehicle, the most important part of the process is the test drive. You can read all the reviews you want and read all of the comparisons and specs online, the fact remains that you can only know if a car is right for you by driving it. That’s why you need to take a few steps in order to ensure you get the most out of your test drive at the dealership.

The first thing you want to do is ensure that you are comfortable behind the wheel. Therefore, take the time to adjust your mirrors and seat before leaving the dealership. This will ensure that you are comfortable and in a better position to enjoy the test drive and more importantly, learn from it.

Next, know where all the various controls are, how the wipers work, how the infotainment system works and the various other features that pertain to the vehicle. All of this can be explained at the dealership before leaving for the test drive.

On the road, you want to focus on how comfortable the vehicle is, how quiet it is, how it accelerates and how easy it is to pass on the highway, how well you see outside and how big the blind spots are, and how you feel behind the wheel.
