Do you need a minivan?

For most families, space is always a little bit lacking in their vehicle. As the family grows or the kids bigger, it becomes even more difficult to fit everybody in. That’s when the idea of a minivan suddenly becomes very appealing. That said, many buyers do not want to turn to a minivan because they feel like it won’t be as much fun to drive or they won’t look “cool” driving it.

Although that second point is a matter of opinion and the first point can be true if you are coming from a sports car, the fact remains that minivans have one purpose, offering plenty of space and versatility, and they do it very well.

“If you have a large family, then a minivan becomes a really good choice. We have consumers who bought minivans because they needed to bring their kids to hockey practice and there just wasn’t enough room in a SUV, especially if other kids join in. We also have families of four or five who just want more space. It always comes back to space”, says a sales representative at Palladino Honda.

Minivans offer almost double the cargo capacity of most vehicles, and the cargo area is usually quite functional as well. Moreover, they offer more room in the back for your passengers, making everyone more comfortable on long trips. They may not be the sportiest vehicles on the road, but they are certainly some of the quietest and most comfortable.

So, do you need a minivan? Only you can decide, but the fact remains that if you find yourself often wanting more room, it may be time to look into it.
